Lesson 1:  Never underestimate the importance of home ice advantage.

The Detroit Red Wings completed dominated their first 2 road games and going into the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh they looked like they would sweep the series. But led by their Captain 20 year old Sidney Crosby the Penguins bounced back in game 3 to win it 3-2. Crosby scored the first two goals of the game to give the pens a definite advantage.

It still remains to be seen if they would be able to duplicate this performance in game 4. Maybe there are more lessons to be learned from the final.
